Description
Offered for sale is a set of antique induction coil electrical apparatus probably dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. Induction coils were widely used in physics laboratories and educational settings in order to demonstrate inter alia electromagnetic induction for experimental/teaching purposes.
This apparatus is mounted on a mahogany base and features:
• moveable induction coils
• brass electrical terminals
• sliding scale with measurements
Such instruments were commonly used in scientific instruction and laboratory demonstrations during the early development of electrical science.
Condition:
Good antique condition with normal wear consistent with the age of the items.
The instrument appears complete with:
• original mahogany base with levelling
• induction coils
• brass terminals
Untested, assumed not working and therefore sold as collectable antique scientific instrument/curio – possible steampunk interest.
