A 19th century eye surgery set containing various signed instruments. The set contains an eye retractor, a pair of scissors, an capsule forceps, needle and precision knifes and a Richters knive. Various insruments are marked ‘Sir Henry’ and ‘Collin & Cie’ and the scissor is signed Charriere.   We are offering an example of Glover’s Téléstéthoscope Électrique, an early stethoscope that employed electricity and telephone technology. It is mechanically complete but lacks the battery, which ​was presumably removed because, not surprisingly after a 100 years, it was corroded and leaking​.
