C1800 Agate Pocket Tinder Box

A fine c1800-agate-p0cket tinder box. The striking surface is steel and the frame holding the stone is brass. Very good overall condition, noting a barely visible hairline on the the top surface. The horizontal white line across the top of the second image is flash refection–see images. The box would have contained a flint and some bits of cotton rag for tinder.
