For sale a Victorian Single Draw Hexagonal Marine Telescope by Ross of London. This beautifully manufactured nickel-plated telescope has its original leather sleeve to the hexagonal barrel and pull-out objective sunshade. HM Customs Inspectors 1lb Beam Scales

Dating from around 1895 and made by Thomas Cheshire, London these English beam scales are designed to weigh up to 1lb in weight. They were in use with the West Riding of Yorkshire authorities. A collector/museum has a very large compendious microscope case once containing  Cuff-type/Jones-type/Solar microscopes and these are perhaps the missing spares. Judging by the dimensions, the Jones-type (probably by Adams/Bleuler/Dollond) would have been close to 50 cm. tall, fully assembled.
