Egusier Douche/Enema : porcelain with Floral/ Garlands Decoration

A very fine example of Dr. Egusier’s Douche. The majority of Egusier douches produced during the second half of the 19th-century were all metal or un-decorated porcelain. This example retains its original painted, floral  decoration and the gilding on the metal fixtures is in fine, bright  condtion as is the porcelain. The mechaism works perfectly. An early 19th-century, patented, cylindrical enema with a sit-down mechanism. Height as in first image: 10″ or 25cm.The cap is stamped “NEGASSEK INVENTEUR BREVETE PARIS with his hallmark.
